Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) NIDA
drug screen on first day of class.
Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Long
Form physical examination on first day of class.
Students must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid driver’s license (may not
be under a driver license suspension, cancellation
or revocation in Tennessee or any other state).
Provide a current copy of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
which reflects no more than 8 points or 3 moving violations
in the last 3 years. No DUI / DWI or reckless
driving convictions within the past 5 years.
Must be a high school graduate or have GED.
No felony convictions within the past 10 years.
Must have proof of U. S. citizenship or lawful permanent
residence.
Must have a clean, neat appearance. Beards
and moustaches must be neatly trimmed. Wear appropriate
footwear.
All financial arrangements must be complete
prior to first day of class.
After first week of class
instruction, student must pass examination for a Tennessee CDL Learners Permit.
